You will need a printer; I do not recommend going to a local hardware store and trying to print out your own parts

You have to buy the tools you need to do it yourself.

You can learn how to make your own custom part on the Internet, by going to the parts.google.com web site , or by purchasing a small kit from a local supplier. The parts of the kit usually cost between $50 and $100. A lot of people have started with the parts I sell in the kit, and have made wonderful things, such as these (the left is "Turbine" part #3, the right is a "Vibration Sensor" part). But for you, the DIYer, you will have to buy the tools necessary for the process you want to do.

The best way to learn about these tools is to try them out on your own parts. You won't get all the necessary tools from the online parts kits, and parts may not be interchangeable. For example, you will probably notice that the Vibration Sensor and the turbine part that I sell has completely different part numbers. Assembling these two parts does not require access to the same files as building the real thing, but it can take some practice to get right.

Once you have had the experience of making your own parts and you have determined how you want to build your turbine, try printing your own. There is an online community (on 3DPart.com) with a large list of parts available for easy reference. To build your own turbine, first determine to print your model off the web site and measure the distance between your nozzle tip and the nozzle on the part you wish to print or cut, and then cut it out. For a normal airfoil, this will be about 6-12 inches.

When you have your part cut and you have a rough printed outline, cut a hole in the outline. If you plan on using parts to form it, now is a good time to determine whether you will add any other parts such as blades, ducting, or anything else to form your turbine. If you do add such additional parts, be sure that you don't make them on a part that you plan to use on your turbine after it is cut. If you do, be sure to print out the "before" so you have them as reference when you cut them out later.

After you have printed your outline, place the part on a piece of paper. There are many websites that will make your parts for you, but be sure to check the manufacturer's guidelines for safety before making changes.
